SECURITY ANNOUNCEMENT

NO PHOTOGRAPHY ALLOWED!

An article in Soldier of Fortune in 1997 about an earlier KNLA training camp showed photos of soldiers together with their real names. Such a portrayal was in direct violation of security guidelines agreed upon by the journalist to gain entry to the camp. From the article SLORC tracked down the family of one of the soldiers. They interrogated, and then killed, his father. Two weeks later they returned and murdered his mother as well.

This is a regular SLORC/SPDC policy: to track down and kill the family members of rebel soldiers.

A number of precautions have been taken with this exhibit, but no amount of care is too great.

IF YOU ATTEMPT TO TAKE PHOTOS OF IT, WE WILL ASSUME THAT YOU ARE A SPY FOR BURMESE MILITARY INTELLIGENCE.
