LETTER TO THE BANGKOK POST RE THAI/BURMESE RELATIONS

It looks to be part of elaborate game
Maung Aye visits and says
it is okay to go after the Wa. Through this, he is using Thailand in his power
struggle with Khin Nyunt, who receives funding from the drug dealers.
Is this so difficult to grasp?
Of course, in Burma few things are clear, but below the clouds one fact remains:
Whatever is done, it is part of a plan to keep the SPDC in power.
So, Maung Aye and Khin Nyunt may actually not have a conflict. They could be
acting as if they do to serve this goal. The current dispute with Thailand,
therefore, was created to divert attention from the NLD, and also to pressure
it: It must support Burma and hence the SPDC.
In either case, Thailand is being used.
